Bolden, Brantley Named Harris Teeter Student-Athletes of the Week

After a tough loss to Virginia Tech, junior forward Breanna Bolden bounced back in a big way this week, dropping a season-high 24 points in the home-win (81-66) over Charleston Southern. Bolden was highly efficient in her scoring, going 10-13 (76.9%) from the field and 4-of-5 (80%) from the charity stripe. Never a one-dimensional player, the junior sprinkled in a few other goodies, adding four rebounds, four steals, and matching a career-best four assists. She currently ranks fourth in the CAA in both FT% (85%) and steals (2.0 SPG).

Jarrell Brantley | Men's Basketball | Freshman | Columbia, S.C. | Undecided

College of Charleston freshman forward Jarrell Brantley recorded a near double-double performance against Western Carolina on Nov. 27. He knocked down a career-high 17 points as the men's basketball team extended their win streak to four-straight games with a 57-56 victory versus their former Southern Conference rivals at TD Arena. It marked his first career double-figure game. Brantley also led the team in rebounds (7), blocks (3) and steals (3) versus the Catamounts. He currently ranks among the CAA's Top 15 rebounding leaders with a team-best average of 5.3 boards per game – which leads all league freshmen in the category. For the week, he averaged 11.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.5 blocks and 2.0 steals combined versus Coastal Carolina and Western Carolina.
