• Joe Chealey turned in a game-high 13 points to extend his current double-digit scoring streak to five-straight games. He also dished out eight assists with one turnover against Sam Houston State. • Marquise Pointer reset season highs in points (12), rebounds (7) and assists (4) versus Sam Houston State. He has now scored in double figures in back-to-back games at the Great Alaska Shootout. COUGAR SOUND BITES
"We have been sharing the ball and we have been getting a lot of assists. We have been very unselfish. We drive and kick and make the extra pass. That is a beautiful thing to watch when you take care of the ball and you defend – all very good characteristics for a good team. We did that all against Sam Houston State and I am happy that we came out on the winning side." – Coach Grant on the team's assist-to-turnover ratio the last two games at the Great Alaska Shootout
"The only challenge we will have is playing them on their own court, so they'll have a little more energy and confidence from being on their home floor. As long as we stick to our principles and standards, we will be fine." – Junior Guard Marquise Pointer on playing Alaska Anchorage on the program's home court and fans
