Series Preview

Last Time Out
The Cougars completed their sixth series sweep of the season over the weekend, taking all three from Delaware to maintain their hold on second place in the CAA standings.
Walk-off Wizards
Charleston registered its third walk-off win of the season on Sunday. Ari Sechopoulos played hero with an RBI double off the wall in right to score the pinch-runner Cameron Garrett from first. The Cougars previously posted back-to-back walk-off wins in a double-header sweep of James Madison on April 8.
Senior Showman
Tommy Richter celebrated his senior day in style, going 4-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBIs in his 10th multi-hit game of the season. The senior third baseman collected RBI singles in the second and fourth innings, and scored in each of those frames as well. He also scored in the sixth to set a season-high with his third run of the game.
Mowing Them Down
Griffin McLarty put on a clinic in Saturday's 11-2 win over Delaware, setting a new career-high with 12 strikeouts in seven and two-thirds innings, while allowing two runs on three hits. The sophomore right-hander retired the final 12 batters he faced to earn his sixth win of the season, and lower his earned run average to 2.76. McLarty held the Blue Hens to one run-scoring play, and two walks in his third quality start of the season.
