Cougar Softball Program Hosts Auction at TD Arena on Saturday

Charleston, S.C. – The College of Charleston softball program will conduct its annual silent auction in conjunction with the men's basketball game against Hofstra on Saturday at TD Arena.
The biggest softball fundraiser of the year takes place in the Cougar Den behind section 104 with bidding taking place from the start of the game through the ten-minute mark of the second half. Winners will be called after that to come to the Cougar Den and pick up and pay for their items.
Among the more than 80 items included in this year's silent auction are hotel stays, golf outings and jewelry. The team will also hold a raffle for a signed men's basketball and Bose outdoor speaker, and those winners will be announced before the end of the game.
"The funds raised from the silent auction go directly to our softball student-athletes and are used to enhance all aspects of our program," said seventh-year head coach Linda Kalafatis.
