CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston baseball team will welcome Xavier to Patriots Point for a three-game series this weekend looking to build on its 5-1 start to the 2020 season. First pitch on Friday is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
Weekend Preview
The Cougars and Musketeers meet for the 10th time when they open a three-game series at Patriots Point on Friday afternoon. Coach Holbrook and the Cougars have won five of their first six on the season while Xavier has dropped its last four - all to ranked opponents.
Scouting Xavier
Xavier was picked to finish second in the Big East after finishing second in league play last season. The Musketeers opened the season with a series victory over Memphis before dropping a weekend set to Ole Miss and a midweek match-up to Louisville.
Lane Flamm has launched two of the Musketeers' five homers while Luke Franzoni accounts for four of Xavier's 16 RBI thus far. Saturday's starter Nick Zwack carries a 1-1 record, a 2.89 ERA and 12 strikeouts in 9.1 innings of work.

Junior Donald Hansis made his presence felt over the weekend with a two-run homer in back-to-back outings on Saturday and Sunday. The Spartanburg Methodist transfer is batting .263 with two homers and seven RBI through six games.
