CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston baseball team will look to continue its five-game hitting streak when the Cougars welcome A-10 foe VCU to Patriots Point in midweek action on Tuesday afternoon. First pitch is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.

The Cougars enter the week on a five-game winning streak following a weekend sweep of Evansville while VCU is looking to snap a four-game skid.
Scouting VCU
VCU was picked to finish first in the Atlantic-10 preseason poll after posting a 19-5 mark in A-10 play last season. The Rams carry an 8-7 record into the week after a series sweep at the hands of Jacksonville.
Brandon Henson leads the Rams with six home runs and 15 RBI while Steven Carpenter paces the team with a .367 batting average. Tuesday starter Michael Dailey makes his sixth start of the season and carries a 1.74 ERA in 20.2 innings thus far.

The Cougars' bullpen was superb during the weekend sweep of Evansville, holding the Purple Aces scoreless on six hits over 12 and one-third innings. Senior Steven Cook made two appearances and struck out seven in four one-hit frames.
Rookie Raking
Freshman outfielder Sajon Belser introduced himself in a big way over the weekend with a trio of two-hit games against Evansville. He played a pivotal role in Friday's comeback win collecting two hits and scoring twice as a pinch-hitter and defensive replacement. Belser followed with a two-hit day on Saturday before delivering with an RBI double during the Cougars' four-run rally on Sunday.
