CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston baseball team welcomes Tennessee Tech to Patriots Point this weekend for a three-game series in non-conference play. First pitch for game one of the series is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday with game two following approximately 45 minutes after the conclusion of the opener.

Weekend Preview
The Cougars have won two straight following a comeback walk-off win over The Citadel on Tuesday evening at Patriots Point. Tennessee Tech has dropped four of its last five including a 2-1 series setback to Murray State last weekend.

Scouting Tennessee Tech
The Golden Eagles are 10-12 on the season after dropping two of three to Murray State on April 1 and 2. Tennessee Tech is batting .260 as a team and ranks 42^nd in the nation with 35 stolen bases.

Brett Roberts leads the Golden Eagles with a .364 batting average and is one of five players with at least 12 RBI so far this season. Cody Littlejohn has mashed a team-high six home runs while Ed Johnson paces Tennessee Tech with 18 RBI. Game one starter Jackson Berry is 2-1 with a 5.47 ERA and 19 strikeouts this season.

Last Time Out
The Cougars rallied for a 5-4 walk-off win over The Citadel on Tuesday to extend their winning streak against the Bulldogs to 15 games. Tanner Steffy beat out an infield single to drive in Joseph Mershon for the winning run and Jordan Carr tossed three shutout innings to earn his first win of the season.

Thriving in the Clutch
The Cougars have not shied away from the clutch situations this season with more than half – 56 of 110 (51%) – of their runs scored coming with two outs. Charleston has scored at least once with two down over its last 11 games with 39 men crossing the plate with two outs over that stretch. Twice in that span did the Cougars score all of their runs – March 23 at Coastal Carolina and March 27 against UNCW – with two outs.

Mr. Consistency
Mershon has been the model of consistency for the Cougars this season reaching base in all but three games while batting .308 with seven extra base hits and nine RBI. The freshman infielder has reached safely in 12 consecutive games including a career-high four walks last Saturday at James Madison.
