CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston baseball team will continue its weekend road swing with a crucial three-game series in Williamsburg, Va. against William & Mary beginning Friday afternoon with a doubleheader scheduled for Saturday. First pitch on Friday is slated for 1:00 p.m.

The Cougars have won six of their last 10 with three players driving in at least 13 runs in that span. William & Mary has dropped three of its last five and currently sit third in the CAA South Division standings behind Charleston and Elon.

The Tribe enter the weekend with a 12-22 overall record and an even 9-9 mark in CAA play. William & Mary is batting .221 as a team with 17 home runs and a combined .973 fielding percentage.

Senior Harrison Hawkins has been feasting on CAA pitching through the first 15 games of the league schedule batting .426 with a CAA-best six homers and 24 RBI in conference action. The Bishopville, S.C. native has five multi-RBI performances to his credit in league play thus far and accounted for five RBI in the series win against the Tribe in March.

Freshman southpaw Connor Campbell has seemingly cemented his spot at the backend of the weekend rotation for the Cougars after posting his third quality start in his last four appearances in an eight-inning effort on Sunday at Elon. The Mason Neck, Va. native did not surrender an extra-base hit and held the Phoenix scoreless until the eighth inning to earn his fifth win. Campbell is 5-2 this season with a 3.57 ERA and 44 strikeouts in 45.1 innings pitched.
