CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston baseball team will continue its weekend road swing with a crucial three-game series in Williamsburg, Va. against William & Mary beginning Friday afternoon with a doubleheader scheduled for Saturday. First pitch on Friday is slated for 1:00 p.m.

Series Preview
The Cougars have won six of their last 10 with three players driving in at least 13 runs in that span. William & Mary has dropped three of its last five and currently sit third in the CAA South Division standings behind Charleston and Elon.

Scouting William & Mary
The Tribe enter the weekend with a 12-22 overall record and an even 9-9 mark in CAA play. William & Mary is batting .221 as a team with 17 home runs and a combined .973 fielding percentage.

Ben Williamson leads the way for the Tribe with a .316 batting average go along with eight doubles and 15 RBI. Matt Thomas has accounted for five of the Tribe's 17 homers thus far. Sunday starter Zach Tsakounis is 2-2 on the season with a 3.80 ERA and 33 strikeouts in eight appearances.

Series History
Charleston leads the all-time series with William & Mary, 15-12. The Tribe have won three of the last five meetings between the CAA foes after the Cougars won two-of-three against William & Mary on the opening weekend of CAA play this season.

Last Time Out
The Cougars dropped two of three at Elon last weekend to fall into a tie with the Phoenix atop the CAA South. After Elon rallied from a six-run deficit to outlast the Cougars in 11 innings on Saturday, the Cougars bounced back with a 6-3 win on Sunday behind homers from Tanner Steffy and Jared Kirven as well as eight strong innings from Connor Campbell.

Hammering Hawkins
Senior Harrison Hawkins has been feasting on CAA pitching through the first 15 games of the league schedule batting .426 with a CAA-best six homers and 24 RBI in conference action. The Bishopville, S.C. native has five multi-RBI performances to his credit in league play thus far and accounted for five RBI in the series win against the Tribe in March.

Sunday Stalwart
Freshman southpaw Connor Campbell has seemingly cemented his spot at the backend of the weekend rotation for the Cougars after posting his third quality start in his last four appearances in an eight-inning effort on Sunday at Elon. The Mason Neck, Va. native did not surrender an extra-base hit and held the Phoenix scoreless until the eighth inning to earn his fifth win. Campbell is 5-2 this season with a 3.57 ERA and 44 strikeouts in 45.1 innings pitched.
