CHARLESTON, S.C.- College of Charleston returns home, after a quick two-game road trip, to host Hofstra on Sunday at 1 p.m. The game, sponsored by the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, will also serve as Family Day with fun activities planned for the kids, and autographs post-game.
All home Women's basketball games are free to attend. Dean Gibbs Knotts said, "I am beyond excited for the opportunity to support our women's basketball team. They are fun to watch and poised to have another great season. My HSS colleagues and their families will be cheering loudly for the Cougars on January 15."
The department of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) is the largest academic department at the College of Charleston. With close to 160 full-time faculty members, the school offers some of the most popular undergraduate and graduate majors at the College.
The core departments in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences include anthropology, communication, English, history, philosophy, political science, psychology, religious studies, and sociology. According to Dean Gibbs Knotts, "The School of Humanities and Social Sciences cultivates student success through innovative teaching, robust mentorship, and engaged learning. We offer students an interdisciplinary community that celebrates the diversity of its members and prepares students for career and life"
Last season, the College of Charleston split the series 1-1 with Pride. Charleston won against Pride last year, 75-35, at TD Arena on March 3, 2022, to bring the all-time series to 9-10.
