CHARLESTON, S.C. --- College of Charleston volleyball capped a perfect weekend in front of the home crowd Sunday sweeping away rival UNCW for a second-straight day (25-18, 25-21, 25-19).

Morgan Cobb turned in her best performance as a Cougar putting down a match-high 11 kills and hit .417 while Sopheea Mink and Anna Smith added nine kills apiece for a Charleston attack that finished the day at .242 overall.

The Charleston backline kept their streak going holding the Seahawks to just .133 on the day – the sixth time in eight CAA matches the Cougar defense has held the opposition below .200 in a match. The trio of Tynley Smeltzer (16), Elli Kinney (15) and Lexi Wierzbicki (11) had double digit digs for a second-straight match while Cailyn Bolser, Wierzbicki, Mink and Sofie Vogel all added multiple blocks.

Turning Point
Down 14-11 in the third set, Anna Smith put down a kill to jumpstart an 8-0 Cougar run that gave the home side the lead back for good in the final stanza. During that run, Smith, Vogel and Wierzbicki had kills, Elli Kinney had an ace and the Cougar forced three errors to put an end to any comeback attempt.

Key Cougars

Morgan Cobb had her best offensive performance as a Cougar landing 11 kills on 24 swings for a .417 attack percentage.
Sopheea Mink and Anna Smith had nine kills each and hit over .315 with Mink adding four digs and two blocks and Smith blocking one Seahawk attack.
The trio of Tynley Smeltzer, Elli Kinney and Lexi Wierzbicki combined for 42 of the 64 Charleston digs headlining a defensive effort that held UNCW below .150 for a second-straight match.
Setters Hannah Scott and Emma Appleman had 35 assists, 15 digs and a service ace combined to help the Charleston offense swing at a .242 mark.

Match Notes

Charleston's sweep finished off a perfect 6-0 weekend taking all sets played against rival UNCW.
Sunday's win was the sixth sweep in favor of Charleston and third inside CAA play.
Charleston's serve receive was on-lock all weekend allowing just one Seahawk ace across six sets.
The Cougars collected win No. 30 against UNCW in series history and extended their win streak to six-straight over their rivals just up Highway 17.
Charleston moved to 7-2 on the season when winning the second set and 7-1 when taking the third set.
