MT PLEASANT, S.C. – College of Charleston baseball lost to Creighton, 7-4, Sunday afternoon in the rubber match of the series at Patriots Point.

The Cougars slip to 7-4 while the Bluejays scored six runs over the last four innings, improving to 5-4 on the season.

CRITICAL POINTS AGAINST CREIGHTON:
- Down 1-0 in the bottom of the second, sophomore Brent Gibbs hit a two-out, two-RBI single to give Charleston the 2-1 advantage.
- CofC extended its lead in the home half of the fourth on a wild pitch.
- Creighton's offense came alive, scoring at least one run in each of the last five frames.
- Sophomore Hayden Thomas allowed two earned runs across 4.1 innings in the no decision.
- Freshman Landon Penfield scored in his first plate appearances.

- Creighton holds a 2-1 advantage in the all-time series with the win on Sunday.
- Gibbs recorded his third career multi-RBI contest.
- The Cougars have drawn at least five walks in nine of the 11 games this season.
- With senior Dariyan Pendergrass' single in the ninth, the outfielder has reached base in all 11 contests.
