CRITICAL POINTS AGAINST APP STATE:
- Graduate Will Baumhofer picked up his second triple of the season in the fifth.
- Graduate Avery Neaves extended his hitting streak to six games.
- Sophomore Brent Gibbs has reached base in seven straight plate appearances.
- Relievers Chase Jarnagin, Garrick Murray, Kevin Steelman and Hunter Phipps all made their second appearances of the year.
- Steelman recorded his first career strikeout in the eighth.
- App State scored in bunches, plating three runs in the second, fourth and sixth innings and four in the ninth.
