Charleston Hits Road to William & Mary

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – College of Charleston baseball begins the final month of the regular season with a three-game series at conference foe William & Mary May 2-4. First pitches from Plumeri Park are set for 6 p.m., 3 p.m. and 1 p.m. with the contests airing live on FloCollege.

FIRST PITCH:

Charleston swept the midweek series versus Georgia Southern with an 8-3 victory over the Eagles Wednesday night at Patriots Point.
Freshman Drew Medley yielded one run in 3.0 innings of work in his second consecutive midweek start.
Senior Aidan Hunter improved to 5-3 on the mound, tossing a pair of scoreless frames out of the bullpen.
CofC used a five-run fourth to lead itself to victory. Freshman Landon Penfield capped off the inning with a two-run double en route to a 3-RBI contest.
Redshirt junior Alex Lyon has pitched to a 2.66 ERA across eight conference outings. Lyon has allowed just two walks in 20.1 innings while going 2-0.

SERIES HISTORY:

Charleston is 29-12 all-time against William & Mary and hold an 8-7 advantage in the series on the road. The Cougars have been victorious in 15 of the last 16 matchups with the Tribe and swept the season series in 2024 in the Holy City with a pair of shutouts.
Graduate Avery Neaves hit a home run in two of the three contests against the Tribe last season.
