MT PLEASANT, S.C. – College of Charleston baseball faces The Citadel in the third and final midweek contest between the two teams this season on Tuesday, May 6 at Patriots Point. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m. with the game airing live on FloCollege.

FIRST PITCH:
- Charleston returns home after earning a series win on the road at William & Mary.
- After dropping the opener Friday, the Cougars earned a 4-2 victory Saturday before taking the rubber match 12-3 on Sunday.
- CofC homered in all three contests as senior Tyler Sorrentino left the yard Friday evening and senior Dylan Johnson launched a home run over the left field scoreboard Saturday and Sunday.
- Johnson also threw out the 17th would-be base stealer of the season Saturday, which is tied for fourth in program history. Johnson's 31 career runners caught stealing is also good for fourth.
- Redshirt junior Alex Lyon made two appearances over the weekend, giving him 72 career relief outings. Lyon is tied with Dre Watts (2010-13) for fourth all-time in school history. Lyon ranks seventh in the country this season with his 25 appearances.
SERIES HISTORY:
- Charleston is 61-43 against The Citadel in series history and 36-13 at home. The 104 contests are the most against a single opponent in program history. CofC has won 23 of the last 25 meetings dating back to 2014 and have scored 10-plus runs in 10 of the matchups.
- The Cougars earned a 5-2 victory over the Bulldogs on April 16 as Johnson and Venables both drove in a pair of runs in the win.
UP NEXT:
- The Cougars return to the road for the final time in 2025 with a three-game series at North Carolina A&T in Greensboro, N.C. May 9-11. First pitch in the series opener Friday is scheduled for 6 p.m.
