Noonan Earns First CAA Rookie of the Week Honor

RICHMOND, Va. – College of Charleston middle blocker Caroline Noonan was named the Coastal Athletic Association Rookie of the Week Monday.

Noonan was once again an impact at the net for Charleston, totaling 39 kills (3.00 per set) and a .427 hitting percentage. Noonan also added 11 total blocks, including five solo stops in the Cougars' four-win week. In Friday's win over Youngstown State, Noonan had 14 kills and swung a .444 clip to go with six blocks. The freshman middle blocker averaged 3.20 kills per set at a .413 hitting percentage over the weekend.

This season, Noonan has 110 kills, a .350 attacking percentage and 29.0 blocks.

Charleston begins conference play with its first true road weekend Sept. 21 and 22 at Towson. Opening serves are set for noon with the matches airing on FloCollege.
