CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston volleyball continues CAA action Sept. 26-27 at TD Arena against Hofstra. Opening serves for the weekend are set for 6 p.m. and noon with both matches airing live on FloCollege.
 
Saturday's match is Girls Day Out and Camper Reunion. The first 50 fans will receive a Charleston branded clear belt bag.
 
OPENING SERVE:

• Charleston lost both contests at Towson to begin conference play. The Cougars roared back from being down 2-0 to force a fifth set in Saturday's contest, losing the deciding match, 15-13.
• Junior Lauren Dow recorded her 2,500th career assist in Saturday's match against the Tigers. Dow enters the weekend with 2,541 collegiate assists. Her 386 assists in 2025 leads the CAA and ranks 66th nationally.
• Freshman Makena Parthen recorded 10 blocks in Saturday's setback, the first Cougar with at least 10 in a match since Sofie Vogel had 12 Oct. 15, 2022, against Northeastern.
• CofC enters the weekend 33rd in the nation with 737 total digs 38th with 15.68 digs per set.

 
SCOUTING HOFSTRA

• The Pride are off to a 9-0 start to the 2025 campaign and have lost just six sets.
• Izadora Stedile is averaging 4.00 kills per set while Julia Amorim has totaled 48.0 blocks defensively.

 
SERIES HISTORY:

• The Cougars have a 14-12 edge in the series between the two programs and have won the last four home contests. In 2024, Charleston beat Hofstra in four sets to advance to the CAA Championship match where the Cougars went on to defeat Delaware in five to claim its ninth conference title.
