FIRST PITCH:
- Charleston lost a midweek contest Wednesday at Wofford, 13-9.
- Trailing 7-0, the Cougars stormed back to eventually tie the game at nine. The Terriers' used a four-run eighth to seal the victory.
- Sophomore Alex LaCoste slugged CofC's second grand slam of the year as part of a five-run third inning.
- LaCoste drove in a career-best five runs, going 2-for-4 with a walk in the setback.
- Redshirt junior Braeden Smith connected on his second long ball of the year, a two-run homer in the fifth.
- Charleston has hit multiple home runs in back-to-back games and has hit six of its nine homers in the month of March.
- Redshirt senior Alex Lyon is the active Division I leader in career appearances with 84. Lyon tossed 3.1 innings in the loss and has recorded at least six outs in 42 of his 84 career outings out of the bullpen.
- With his next outing, Lyon will tie Nathan Ocker (2016-19) for the second-most relief appearances in program history. Lyon is currently fourth all-time in total appearances, three shy of tying Nick Chigges (2004-07).
SERIES HISTORY:
- The College is 8-1 against the Seawolves all time and are 5-1 at home. In 2024, Charleston swept Stony Brook in the only meeting that took place on Stony Brook's campus. CofC outscored the Seawolves 34-15 in the series, backed behind a 17-8 victory in the second contest of the weekend.

- CofC hosts No. 11 Clemson March 17 for a 6 p.m. in-state midweek contest at Patriots Point. The game will air live on FloCollege.
