MT PLEASANT, S.C. – College of Charleston baseball won the series with a 6-2 victory Sunday afternoon against Stony Brook.
Charleston improved to 4-2 in the CAA and 9-10 overall while the Seawolves slip to 3-14 and 2-4 in the conference.

Charleston improved to 4-2 in the CAA and 9-10 overall while the Seawolves slip to 3-14 and 2-4 in the conference.
CRITICAL POINTS AGAINST STONY BROOK:
- Charleston batted around in the third, scoring three runs to catapult the offense.
- Junior Hayden Thomas threw three scoreless innings in the start, holding Stony Brook to two hits and one walk.
- Freshman Austin Wiegandt followed Thomas, tossing two innings while punching out three.
- Graduate Reece Holbrook added insurance runs in the seventh with a two-run double to make it 6-1.
- Fellow fifth year Dylan Johnson tallied his ninth double of the season Sunday, going 2-for-3 with two talks.
- Freshman Stow Rogers went 2-for-3 with a walk in the victory.
- Freshman Kaden Myers slammed the door, tossing two perfect innings to seal the win.
OF NOTE:
- Charleston is now 10-2 against Stony Brook in the all-time series.
- Amman had his sixth multi-hit performance of the season Sunday.
- Sweeney appeared in all three ballgames against the Seawolves, tossing 2.1 scoreless frames
- Wiegandt earned his first career win Sunday.
