WILMINGTON, N.C. – College of Charleston lost the second game of the series Saturday evening to UNCW by a score of 7-5 at Brooks Field.
CofC is now 21-24 overall and 11-12 in the CAA while the Seahawks are 26-19 and 14-9 in league play.

CRITICAL POINTS AGAINST UNCW:
- UNCW scored a pair of runs in the first before making it a 3-0 contest through three.
- Graduate Dylan Johnson collected his first of two RBI singles in the sixth, driving in freshman Jake Amman.
- The Seahawks used a four-spot in the home half of the inning that went on to be the difference.
- CofC continued to claw back scoring two runs on a fielding error in the sixth while redshirt senior Ethan Plyler's solo shot in the seventh cut the deficit to three.
- With two outs, Johnson beat out an infield single to bring in Charleston's fifth run of the ballgame.
- Graduate Kurt Rogers made his first Division I start, tossing a season-high five innings.
OF NOTE:
- Charleston is 27-29 versus UNCW and 10-17 as the road team.
- Rogers tied his second-longest outing of his career with the five innings pitched.
- Plyler now has multiple hits in four straight contests, going 10-for-16 in those games.
- Johnson collected his team-best 17th multi-hit performance Saturday.
- Johnson also threw out his 21st base runner and 54th of his career at Charleston.
