Biography

On Dillon: An accomplished player, Dillon is expected to strengthen the Cougars both at the plate and at shortstop.

2009: Played in 17 games, making 11 starts ... started six games at third base, four at catcher and one in left field ... batted .188 with two RBI in 16 at bats ... went 2-for-2 in stolen bases ... walked, stole first career base and scored a run against UMBC (2/21) ... delivered first career hit and RBI along with walk and stolen base vs. UMBC (2/22) ... notched second hit vs. Charlotte (3/10) ... went 1-for-2 with an RBI at Charleston Southern (4/22).

Hanahan High School: An extremely versatile athlete, Dillon was a six-year starter for the Hawks softball team as well as a five-year letter winner in basketball and four-year member of the volleyball team ... on the field, Dillon helped lead HHS to the 2008 2A State Championship with a 26-5 record and a 2006 Lower State Runner-Up finish ... named All-Region four times and was an All-State selection following her final two seasons ... named to the All-State High School Sports Report as a sophomore and junior and was 2A HSSR Tri-Player of the Year as a senior ... named Best Offensive Player at Hanahan from 2005-07 ... served as team captain final three seasons ... earned Captain Award following junior and senior seasons ... posted batting averages of .447, .391 and .424 sophomore through senior seasons and struck out only seven times during junior campaign ... as a middle hitter on the volleyball team, Dillon was a key member of the 2005 and 2006 Lower State Runners-Up ... two-time All-Region selection ... twice named Best Defensive Player and two-time recipient of the Hawk Award ... earned Hanahan Most Valuable Player, Best Blocker and Best Spiker awards as a senior ... served as team captain final two seasons ... as a member of the Hawks basketball program, Dillon was named 2006-07 Best Defensive Player and earned the Team Captain award as a senior ... served as team captain as a senior ... named 2007 Hanahan High School Female Athlete of the Year.

Personal: Born in Hanahan, S.C. on January 9, 1990, Dillon is the daughter of Mark and Cathy Dillon ... family includes two cousins, Pete and John Dillon, both of whom played college basketball ... Pete played at Sewanee University while John was a member of the Wofford College men’s basketball team ... member of National Honor Society, ACTS Club and Student Council ... named to honor roll and served as coach of Upward Basketball  ... currently undecided on major.
