Morgan Scott

Former Oregon and UNCG standout pitcher Morgan Scott, a native of Irmo, S.C., joined the College of Charleston softball staff in July 2024.

Scott spent her final two seasons with the Ducks after three years with the Spartans. She was twice named to the NFCA All-Pacific Region team and was on the first team in 2023 when she led the Pac-12 and ranked sixth in the nation with seven saves.

That season she also won 13 games including a two-hit shutout over No. 3 UCLA and another win over No. 7 Stanford. Scott had two-year totals of 23 wins and six shutouts while ranking second in Oregon history with 12 saves.

Scott played at UNCG from 2020-22 with the first two coming with Lynch as her pitching coach. She was a two-time Southern Conference Pitcher of the Year as well as Freshman of the Year in 2021 when she helped the Spartans win the regular season and tournament titles and earn a berth to the Athens Regional.

Scott started 79 games in three seasons at UNCG and accumulated 58 complete games, 53 wins and 11 shutouts while striking out 602 batters, the second most in school history. In 2022 she ranked second in the nation with 249 innings pitched as well as ninth with 25 wins and a school-record 286 strikeouts.
