On Nutaitis: A tremendous hitter, Nutaitis will be expected to provide a large portion of the Cougars offense in 2010.
2010: Started in 32 games and appeared in 37 in 2010... batted .241 on the year with a .264 slugging percentage, .337 on-base percentage, five runs scored and a triple... batted in six runs... batted 2-for-2 against Coastal Carolina with an RBI (3/14)... tripled and scored a run against South Carolina State (3/30).
2009: Played in 48 games, starting 46 ... 45 starts came at first base while the other came at designated hitter ... hit .244 with .289 slugging percentage, .297 on-base percentage, 33 hits, three doubles, a home run and 12 RBIs ... tied for team lead in hit by pitches with six ... went 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles and two RBIs vs. East Tennessee State (2/14) ... finished 3-for-4 vs. Howard (2/15) ... went 3-for-4 with four RBIs on first career grand slam against Georgia Southern (3/7) ... was 2-for-4 with run and RBI vs. Samford (3/14) ... posted 2-for-4, one run outing at Coastal Carolina (3/22) ... was 1-for-2 with two RBIs at Appalachian State (4/4) ... went 2-for-5 with an RBI against Elon (4/18) and 2-for-4 with an RBI in 10-7 win vs. Chattanooga (5/3) ... had season-high four-game hit streak from March 10-15.
2008: Started all 66 games as a freshman ... finished with .260 batting average, 50 hits, 10 doubles, five homeruns, 25 RBIs, .401 slugging percentage and led the team with a .990 fielding percentage ... that mark is currently tied for the second best in program history for a career and is tied for the fifth-highest in a single season ... went 2-for-2 with a run scored in her first career collegiate game against Marshall on February 8 ... was 5-for-7 with two runs and a double in double-header against Campbell, a 2008 NCAA Tournament team ... included 3-for-4 outing with two runs in first game ... was 1-for-1 with three walks, two RBIs and first career homerun against East Tennessee State on February 17 ... that game sparked four- and five-game hit streaks and hits in nine of the next ten games ... a six-game hit streak ran from March 26-April 2 and included a number of record-setting performances ... was 11-for-16 with seven RBIs, two doubles, three homeruns, three walks and four runs scored during stretch ... her 4-for-4 performance with three RBIs and a double against Georgia Southern tied her for the fourth most hits in a single game ... vs. Coastal Carolina on April 2, Nutaitis went 2-for-2, drilling a pair of homeruns to go along with two walks ... that ties her for the third most ever in a game for the Cougars.
Bishop O’Connell High School: Four-year starter for Knights softball and volleyball teams ... during her time as a first baseman and catcher, Nutaitis helped lead Bishop O’Connell softball to four straight VISSA State Championships as well as four consecutive Washington Catholic Athletic Conference titles ... following all four years she was named to the All-State and All-WCAC First-Team ... received Outstanding Performance Award after 2007 season ... posted batting averages of .405, .385, .430 and .416, respectively, during her four years ... outside hitter on Knights 2007 State Championship volleyball team ... received Coaches Award following 2006 season.
