Kristi Woodall: A True Student-Athlete

On Woodall: Multi-talented player that affects the outcome of the game at the plate and in the field.

2010: Started in all 51 games for CofC in 2010... scored the most runs of any of the 2011 returners with 33... in 158 at bats, she hit .266 with 12 doubles and two home runs for a .380 slugging percentage... kept a .364 on-base percentage... was 11-for-12 on stolen-base attempts... recorded 46 putouts and one assist with just two errors for a .959 fielding percentage... hit more than one base hit nine times... batted 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs against Wagner (2/19)... went 3-for-3 with two runs and three RBIs against South Carolina State (3/30).

2009: Started all 47 games she appeared in, all in centerfield ... batted .257 with .390 slugging percentage, .372 on-base percentage ... produced 22 runs, 27 hits, six doubles, a triple, two home runs, 14 RBIs, 18 walks and went 4-of-5 on the base paths ... went 2-for-3 with two runs vs. Georgia Southern (3/8) ... belted second career home run at Samford (3/14) ... finished 2-for-3 with a run and a double vs. Charleston Southern (3/18) ... hit two-run home run at Coastal Carolina (3/22) ... added second consecutive two-RBI game in the nightcap ... went 2-for-3 with double, triple and run vs. western Carolina (3/28) ... finished 2-for-3 with run and three RBIs in series finale vs. the Catamounts (3/29) ... went 1-for-1 with run, double, RBI and three walks vs. Coastal Carolina (4/15) ... those three walks tied for the third most in a single game in program history ... was part of a stretch of five consecutive games in which Woodall drew a walk and totaled eight free passes ... went 2-for-2 with two runs and an RBI against Elon (4/19) ... finished 2-for-3 with a run and RBI vs. Chattanooga (5/2). 

2008: Played and started 65 of possible 66 games ... Finished with .220 batting average, 40 hits, 10 doubles, 28 RBIs, .346 on-base percentage and team-high 15 sacrifice hits and 26 walks ... sac hit total is tied for fourth best in a single season while her walk total is the seventh highest in a season for the Cougars ... had eight-game hit streak from Mar. 22-Apr. 3, highlighted by 1-for-3 performance  with two runs scored and career-high three RBIs against Appalachian State on March 22 ... had five other games in which she scored two runs, including 2-for-3, two RBI, two walk performance against Western  Carolina on April 13 ... went 2-for-3 with an RBI against Tennessee Tech on February 23 ... delivered 1-for-1 outing with two walks, two steals and only career homerun vs. Akron on March 1 ... went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, a steal, triple and RBI vs. Charleston Southern on April 15 ... 2-for-3 with two RBIs against UNC Greensboro on April 19 ... capped off regular season with career-high three hits, two of them doubles, in 3-for-4, one RBI outing against Elon on May 4.

Hopewell  High School: Accomplished high school athlete who competed all four years on the Titan’s softball team and played varsity basketball for the 2004-05 season ... as an outfielder and first baseman, Woodall was a four-time Team Most Valuable Player, two-time All-State selection and was named 2007 MECA Co-Player of the Year ... four year All-Conference, All-Region and All-Mecklenburg choice ... HHS compiled four-year record of 84-12 during her time on the team ... finished with career numbers of .438 batting average, .639 on-base percentage, .729 slugging percentage, nine homeruns, 93 RBIs and 58 stolen bases ... on the court, helped lead Titans to 23-5 record, a second-place conference finish and regional appearance ... member of Hopewell High School Hall of Fame.

Personal: Born in Fairmont, Minnesota on January 20, 1989, Kristi is the daughter of Larry and Pam Woodall ... family includes a brother, Dan, who played baseball at Division II Minnesota State from 2005-07 ... father Larry played at MSU from 1976-80, leading the Mavericks to multiple World Series appearances ... in June of 1979, he was chosen in the 18th round by Major League Baseball’s Baltimore Orioles and remained with the organization through 1981 ... graduated in Top-5 percent of class and was AP Scholar with four years on the “A” Honor Roll ... member of the National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society and Co-editor-in-Chief of school yearbook ... currently majoring in business administration.
