Gainesville, Fla. -- The College of Charleston of softball team fell 6-0 in its second game against Stetson on day two of the Cox Communications Classic this afternoon.
CofC's record falls to 1-11. The Hatters improve to 5-3 having scored six runs on seven hits.
Outfielder Tiffany Harmon turned in the Cougars' lone hit in the bottom of the first inning. The Lynn Haven, Fla., native hit a single down the third base line. She would advance to second on a Kristi Woodall sacrifice hit. Before the side was retired Pitcher Terri Mesko (0-6 pitched through seven innings and 31 batters, striking out four.
The Cougars' final game in the Classic is Sunday morning at 9:00 against East Tennessee State. Feb. 22-24, CofC will host the first of three home tournaments at Patriots Point Field in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
