The Cougars (6-13) return to the Invitational Sunday, March 2, at 2 p.m. when they host Howard. The Zips (2-10) face Howard in the 6 p.m. game Saturday and will play their final game of the weekend Sunday at noon against
CofC added four more runs in the second inning. Alex Williams scored after Woodall was walked with the bases loaded. Shifflett, who went 2-for-3 on the day, hit a single to center to score runs by Christal Kotchman and Tiffany Harmon. Shifflett came in for the last run of the inning off a single to left by Nutaitis.

Mesko (2-7) pitched through five innings, striking out four batters. Christina Swierz struck out one Cougar batter and allowed five runs.
The shut out is the second consecutive of the day for the Cougars. They are 4-0 on the weekend.
