Jackie Luna-Castro turned in one of the best performances of her collegiate career in the 89-61 loss on the road in Charlotte. The senior was highly effective shooting the ball, going 7-of-14 from the field and 3-of-4 from deep en route to a career-high 17 points. Luna-Castro didn't stop there, putting her length and defensive tenacity on display with a five-steal performance, yet another career-best. Two rebounds, a block and an assist to rounded out the night.

Junior Canyon Barry (Colorado Springs, Colo.) led College of Charleston to another 2-0 week as the Cougars extended their win streak to five consecutive games with home victories over East Carolina (77-73) on Dec. 7 and North Greenville (89-52) on Dec. 13. They are off to their best season start since 2011-12. Barry scored 27 and 26 points against each opponent this past week. He has tallied five games this season with 20-or-more points. Barry went a career-best 13-of-14 from the free throw line against ECU and tied career-highs from long-range (5-for-9) versus North Greenville. He has now scored in double-digits in 10 of his last 12 games and eight of his last nine. Barry averaged a team-leading 26.5 points per game combined against the Pirates and Crusaders and ranks among the nation's Top 25 leading scorers.
