Booth, Barry Named Harris Teeter Student-Athletes of the Week

Over the past three-game homestand in TD Arena, Kelsey Booth was the most consistent player for the Cougars. As the only one at The College to record double-digit points in all three of her games played (10, 13, 15), Booth averaged 12.7 points and 6.3 rebounds on 48.3% percent shooting (14-of-29), adding two blocks in the loss to Western Kentucky. Along with junior Breanna Bolden, the senior became one of the first two players to log a double-double this season for the Cougars in the 77-63 win over Winthrop, recording 15 points and a season-high 12 rebounds. Her one dozen boards was one away from her career-high 13, which was set way back in March of 2014 against Marist during her days with Siena.

Junior guard Canyon Barry (Colorado Springs, Colo.) averaged a team-leading 25.0 points in road games at No. 15 Miami on Dec. 19 and Campbell on Dec. 22 as the Cougars closed out non-conference play with an 8-3 mark under second-year head coach Earl Grant. It was the team's best non-conference record since the 2011-12 season (8-3). He recorded his third career 30-point outing with a game-high 30 points including a career-high tying five three-pointers against the Camels and a game-high 20 points versus his father's alma mater Hurricanes. Barry is currently on a season-best seven-game double-digit scoring streak and ranks among the Top 20 NCAA scoring leaders averaging a conference-leading 22.1 points per game.
