They are also led by preseason All-CAA First Team selection Jarrell Brantley, who knocked down a career-high 29 points in the team's first-ever road win at JMU a year ago in the CAA opener. Chealey is averaging a team-leading 15.9 points per game (5th in CAA), while Brantley is averaging 13.2 points and a team-best 8.2 rebounds per game (3rd in CAA). COUGAR SOUND BITES
"They (JMU) are a really good team. They have a first-year coach, but have older players with experience. They defend well. Jackson Kent is playing well. We will have to be sharp offensively. Both games we played last year were really tough competitive games on the defensive side of the floor. We have to make sure we are ready to execute and stick to our game plan. It will be an unbelievable challenge for us on the road." College of Charleston Head Coach Earl Grant on scouting James Madison
"We haven't hit this spot in the last three years. It's a different spot on the climb for us. At the end of the day, the most important thing is making sure you understand what you have to do to continue to be good. You have to have good practices and you have to stick together as a team and not lose sight of what is really important. It's not so much as how you handle success, but staying true to who we are and not forgetting what goes into having a chance to be successful." – Coach Grant on the team handling their success this season
"They (JMU) are playing pretty well right now with a new coach. It will be another challenge for us to take on, but we just have to stick to our standards. Like Coach Grant says, if we can stick to our principles, we are capable of playing any team. Our principles are to defensive rebound, play defense, get stops, get out in transition and share the ball." – Sophomore Forward Jarrell Brantley on playing JMU on the road
"It was a big-time win for us. That was the first time where I was really understanding the game from my position and how I wanted to play. Anytime you can get a win away, as much as getting a win, is big." – Brantley on the team claiming their first-ever road win at JMU last season in the CAA opener
