Lauren Freed turned in her 38
th career double-double as College of Charleston rallied for a 3-1 win over UNCW on Sunday afternoon to wrap up the 2019 season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cougars put down 62 kills and compiled a .292 hitting percentage to rally from a 1-0 deficit.
- Four players reached double figures in kills led by Mandy Napierala and Freed with 14 and 13 respectively.
- Charleston's blocking corps combined for 10 blocks including four in the final frame.
- Russell equaled her career-high with 12 kills on 22 swings and added four blocks.
- UNCW senior Madison Peters turned in a match-high 15 kills.
COUGAR OF THE MATCH
Falk put together perhaps the best match of her young career with seven kills on 12 swings to go along with five digs and a match-high eight blocks. She connected on four of five attempts in the second set and recorded four blocks in the final frame.
NOTABLES
- The Cougars accounted for 33 of their 62 kills in the final two frames including an 18-kill performance in set three.
- Napierala paced the Cougars with 14 kills and narrowly missed a double-double with nine digs.
- Junior libero Logan Manusky recorded 20 or more digs for the 11th time this season with an even 20 to lead all players.
- Freed turned in her 38th career double-double and 10th of the season with 13 kills and 18 digs. She also added four blocks and an ace.
- Russell collected 12 kills and four blocks to equal her career-bests in both categories while hitting an even .500 for the match.
- Brooke Harris dished out a career-high 32 assists and chipped in seven digs.
- Peyton Eisnaugle finished with 11 kills and hit .350 for the match.
- Head coach Jason Kepner picks up his 295th career win.
- Freed concludes her career as one of 10 players in program history to record 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs. She finishes with 1,062 kills, 1,111 digs, 121 blocks and 70 service aces in 121 career appearances.
- Eisnaugle wraps up her Cougar tenure with 474 kills and 203 blocks, and ranks 12th all-time with a .287 hitting percentage.
- Kayla Demari appeared in 23 matches this season with the Cougars totaling 63 kills, 36 digs and 23 blocks.
- Napierala totaled 480 kills over the last two years as a Cougar including a team-high 288 (2.88/set) this season. She also finishes with 127 blocks and 171 digs in the Maroon and White.
- The Cougars are expected to return 12 letter-winners from this year's squad including rising seniors Manusky and Meghan Murphy.
