RICHMOND, Va. --- College of Charleston junior libero
Logan Manusky garnered her first career postseason from the Colonial Athletic Association on Thursday with a nod to the All-CAA Second team after leading the conference in digs per set during the regular season.
Manusky delivered a sensational junior season this fall leading the CAA with 4.85 digs per set in her first campaign as the Cougars' full-time libero. The San Diego, Calif. native amassed 20 or more digs on 11 occasions and failed to reach double-digits only once in 2019. She produced several highlight reel performances throughout the season including a three-set single-match record-tying 26 digs in the Cougars' sweep of UNCW on Oct. 22.
The All-CAA Second Team selection posted her first collegiate double-double with 23 digs and a career-high 10 assists against James Madison on Oct. 25 before reaching the coveted 1,000-career dig mark two days later against Delaware. Manusky paced the CAA with an average of 5.29 digs per set during league play and finished the season with a total of 495, which is good for 12
th on the program's single-season list. Her season average of 4.85 digs per frame comes in eighth on the school's single-season ranking.
Towson took home four of the five major awards after posting an unblemished 16-0 record in league play to capture the regular season title. Senior setter Marrisa Wonders became the second player in conference history to be named both CAA Player and Setter of the Year honors, while freshman Lydia Wiers was named Rookie of the Year and head coach Don Metil collected Coach of the Year accolades.
The Cougars are expected to return 12 letter-winners from this year's squad including rising seniors Manusky and
