Charleston, S.C. – The College of Charleston hosts UNCW at Patriots Point to conclude the regular season with a three-game sweep a near necessity to earn a berth in next week's CAA Tournament. The teams will play a doubleheader on Friday at 5:00 and a single game on Saturday at 2:00.
The Cougars (22-28, 6-12 CAA) are in eighth place, one game behind Towson, Delaware and Hofstra, and own the tiebreaker only against the Tigers in the race for one of the five spots in the tournament. The Seahawks enter in fourth place at 8-10 in the CAA and 26-25 overall.
Live stats and video streaming for all three games will be available with links on the Charleston softball schedule page. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for youth 18 and under, and weekend passes are $12 for adults and $5 for youth. CofC faculty staff and students are admitted free with a valid school ID.
The three members of the 2019 senior class – Kelly Sinclair, Madi Brown and Jordan Barcus - will be honored following the game on Saturday. It will also be a Bark at the Park Day, with fans encouraged to bring their dogs to the game.
The Cougars hold a 26-21 lead in the all-time series including 12-7 at Patriots Point. The Seahawks won all three regular season games last season in Wilmington, but Charleston rebounded to defeat UNCW twice at the CAA Tournament to snap a nine-game losing streak in the series.
