TOWSON, Md. – College of Charleston Women's Basketball returns to action as it concludes its three-game road stint at UNCW on Sunday, Feb. 23 with tip-off scheduled for 2 p.m.
Last Outing
The College faced defeat to the hands of Towson by a score of 72-83. The Cougars nearly made an impressive comeback, but their late push fell short as the Tigers scoring couldn't be stopped. Sophomore Tyler Collins scored a team-high 17 points and dished out a team-high five assists in the process. Fellow sophomore Arynn Eady, the league leading rebounder, recorded her fifth double-double of the season as she poured in 14 points and grabbed 14 boards. Sophomore Madison Taylor and freshman Taylor Williams round out the double-digit scorers with 11 points apiece. After Towson got up early, the scoring went back-and-forth but the Tigers never gave up their lead. Trailing by double digits in the fourth quarter, Collins knocked down consecutive triples and brought the game within single digits with just six minutes to play. Towson converted some clutch free throws towards the end of the game which sealed the victory for the Tigers.

The Seahawks are currently on a five-game losing streak, most recently falling to James Madison by a score of 52-76. Head coach Karen Barefoot is in the midst of her third year at the helm of the program. She has an overall head coaching record of 349-248 and a 36-49 record at UNCW.
The team is led by GiGi Smith and Lacey Suggs, who average 14.0 and 12.3 points per game, respectively. Suggs leads the Seahawks in rebounding with 5.3 boards a game, followed by Smith with 4.6 a game.

- Head Coach Robin Harmony has a total of 257 wins throughout her career.
- Senior Deja Ford became the 28th Cougar in program history to join the 1,000-point club.
- The Cougars started conference play 2-0 for the first time since the 2009-10 season. This also marks the first time The College has gone 2-0 in CAA play since joining the league in 2013.
- Latrice Perkins (13.3), Tyler Collins (12.7) and Deja Ford (10.9) lead the Cougars in scoring per game.
- Sophomore Arynn Eady ranks first in rebounds in the CAA with 9.6 per game.
- Eady logged a career-high 18 rebounds twice this season, one in a 67-63 OT win over UNCW on Jan. 26 and the other in a 70-64 loss to William & Mary on Feb. 7, which is tied for fourth most in a single game in program history.
- Senior Deja Ford earned her first CAA Player of the Week honors for the week of 12/30 through 1/5 after scoring 59 points while leading the Cougars to three wins.
- Arynn Eady has five double-doubles on the season while Latrice Perkins has three.
- Perkins and Collins became the first Cougars since 2015 to score at least 29 points in a single game.
- The Cougars forced 33 turnovers against Coker on Nov. 12 which tied the most in a single game since 2010 when CofC took down Wofford.
- Perkins earned Harris Teeter Student-Athlete of the Week honors (Nov. 6-12).
- Eady earned Harris Teeter Student-Athlete of the Week honors twice this season for play through Nov. 13-19 and Jan. 22-28.
- Ford earned Harris Teeter Student-Athlete of the Week honors (Dec. 30-Jan. 5).
- Ford was named a Preseason All-CAA Honorable Mention.
