CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston Women's Basketball returns home to play host to Hofstra on Friday, Feb. 28 with tip-off scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
Last Outing
The College fell to UNCW on Feb. 23 by a score of 74-50 and fell to 4-10 in conference play. Sophomore Latrice Perkins led the Cougars in scoring with 16 points, while adding in four rebounds and three steals. The Seahawks started the game off strong, going on a quick 6-0 run before Taylor Williams knocked down a midrange jump shot to get the Cougars on the board. However, the Seahawks kept their momentum going and took a 14-point lead into the second quarter. Although CofC held UNCW to just 15 points in the second quarter, the Cougars only scored nine and trailed 20 points going into the half. UNCW scoring never stopped as it took a 28-point lead at the halfway mark of the third quarter. The College outscored UNCW in the fourth quarter, but it was too late as the Seahawks took this one.

Hofstra enters the game with a 3-23 overall record and a 0-15 record in CAA play. In its most recent matchup, the Pride fell to James Madison by a score of 52-89. Hofstra is looking for its first win in conference play. The Pride lead the all-time series at 6-8 but the Cougars took its last matchup by a score of 63-60.
Head Coach Danielle Santos Atkinson is in the midst of her first season at the helm of the program. A first-year head coach, Atkinson joined the Pride from Pittsburgh, where she was the Associate Head Coach for one season.
The team is led by Jaylen Hines, who averages 10.5 points per game this season. Hines also leads the team in rebounds with 8.4 per game.

- Head Coach Robin Harmony has a total of 257 wins throughout her career.
- Senior Deja Ford became the 28th Cougar in program history to join the 1,000-point club.
- The Cougars started conference play 2-0 for the first time since the 2009-10 season. This also marks the first time The College has gone 2-0 in CAA play since joining the league in 2013.
- Latrice Perkins (13.4), Tyler Collins (12.4) and Deja Ford (10.6) lead the Cougars in scoring per game.
- Sophomore Arynn Eady ranks first in rebounds in the CAA with 9.6 per game.
- Eady logged a career-high 18 rebounds twice this season, one in a 67-63 OT win over UNCW on Jan. 26 and the other in a 70-64 loss to William & Mary on Feb. 7, which is tied for fourth most in a single game in program history.
- Senior Deja Ford earned her first CAA Player of the Week honors for the week of 12/30 through 1/5 after scoring 59 points while leading the Cougars to three wins.
- Arynn Eady has five double-doubles on the season while Latrice Perkins has three.
- Perkins and Collins became the first Cougars since 2015 to score at least 29 points in a single game.
- The Cougars forced 33 turnovers against Coker on Nov. 12 which tied the most in a single game since 2010 when CofC took down Wofford.
- Perkins earned Harris Teeter Student-Athlete of the Week honors (Nov. 6-12).
- Eady earned Harris Teeter Student-Athlete of the Week honors twice this season for play through Nov. 13-19 and Jan. 22-28.
- Ford earned Harris Teeter Student-Athlete of the Week honors (Dec. 30-Jan. 5).
- Ford was named a Preseason All-CAA Honorable Mention.
