CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston men's basketball squad's highly-anticipated battle with North Carolina at TD Arena will be broadcast on national television on Nov. 16. The ninth all-time meeting between the Cougars and Tar Heels is set to tip off at 8:30 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network, Athletics Director
Matt Roberts announced Thursday.
Roberts helped manifest the 2-for-1 three-games series with UNC, which was announced in October of 2019. CofC fell to the Tar Heels in the 2020-21 season opener as Nov. 16 marks the second of three matchups in the agreement. The series concludes in 2022-23 in Chapel Hill.
North Carolina leads the all-time series with CofC, 5-3. Two of CofC's biggest wins in program history came against the Tar Heels – a 66-64 upset of then-No. 3 UNC in 1998 and an 82-79 home triumph in 2010 at TD Arena (the last and only other time the pair have squared off in Charleston).
