CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston plays its last three road games of the 2021 campaign this weekend with a Colonial Athletic Association series at Elon.
The Cougars and Phoenix face off in a doubleheader Saturday at 1 p.m. and a single game Sunday at 1 p.m. Visit the CofC softball schedule page for links to video and live stats.
The teams are meeting for the second time this season after Elon swept three games at Patriots Point on April 10-11, reducing the Cougars' lead in the all-time series to 32-26. The Phoenix are 6-6 in the CAA South, one game behind UNCW for second place.
Jenna Helberg leads the Cougars with a .359 average, and Shealyn Starks and Payton Wade pace the team with 14 RBI. Before going hitless in the final two games against UNCW, Starks had at least one hit in 14 of her previous 17 games.
Elon has 30 home runs this season led by Alli Repko and Gabi Schaal with seven apiece. Repko had two homers and eight of her team-leading 24 RBI in the earlier series against the Cougars. Rebecca Murray leads four Phoenix batting above .300 at .347.
Following this weekend, CofC wraps up its season at Patriots Point on May 1-2 against James Madison.
