CHARLESTON, S.C. – Jada Logan recorded the second triple-double in College of Charleston history to lead the Cougars to an 84-38 victory Berry on Tuesday night at TD Arena.
Logan scored 22 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and dished out 10 assists and achieved the triple-double when her pass to
Jaila Roberts resulted in a 3-pointer with 9:12 remaining in the game.
Three other Cougars scored in double digits, including
Anika McGarity with 21 points followed by Roberts with 18 and
Jazmyn Stone with 10.
The Cougars (5-3) won their fourth in a row with three of them being in front of their home crowd.
Sydney Blackenship scored 14 points for the Vikings.
Charleston has a two-game road trip before the holidays, playing at Georgia Southern on Friday at 6 p.m. and Oregon on Sunday at 3 p.m.
How it Happened
• Charleston led only 14-8 before scoring eight of the final 10 points of the first quarter for a 22-10 lead.
• The lead kept growing in the second quarter, reaching 25 at 42-17 on a 3-pointer by McGarity with 1:56 left.
• During the first half, the Cougars shot 69.2 percent (9-for-13) from deep with McGarity making 4-of-5 and Roberts connecting on 3-of-4.
• Charleston kept their momentum rolling in the second half, scoring the first seven points of the third quarter to build a 32-point lead.
• Cougars defense held Vikings to four points in the last quarter of play.

• Logan led the Cougars with 22 points, 11 rebounds and a career-high 10 assists.
• Logan hit 9-of-12 from the field including both of her 3-pointers.
• McGarity made five 3-pointers, scored a season-high 21 points and matched her career high with six rebounds.
• Roberts was hot from the field, making 7-of-9 shots and 4-of-5 from beyond the arc.
• The Cougars made a season-high 12 3-pointers and shot a season-best .480 (12-of-25) from long distance.

• Denise Hogue was the first to record a triple-double with 18 points, 13 rebounds and 11 blocks vs. UNC Asheville on February 25, 1991.
• McGarity entered the game leading the CAA in 3-point percentage and is now shooting 48.8 percent for the season.
• The Cougars have won four in a row by an average margin of 25.0 points.
• The game was the first against Berry since December 1986 when the Cougars were still an NAIA program.
• The game was the last this calendar year at TD Arena. Charleston is at Georgia Southern and Oregon before opening CAA play at Towson.
