CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston baseball team returns home this weekend looking to get back on track in a three-game series against Siena beginning with a doubleheader on Saturday. First pitch for game one of Saturday's twin bill is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at Patriots Point.
Charleston carries a 3-1 record into the second weekend of the season following a 2-1 setback to Clemson on Tuesday. Siena is in search of its first win this spring after a series sweep at the hands of UCF last weekend.

LEADING OFF
- Junior catcher JT Marr has been on a tear in his first week as a Cougar with four consecutive multi-hit games to start his CofC career. The Fort Mill, S.C. is batting a team-best .563 with two doubles, a home run and three RBI through four games and was named the CAA's Co-Player of the Week on Monday. He is also tied for the team lead with five runs scored and is 3-for-3 in stolen bases thus far.
- Sophomore William Privette has been unhittable in his first two appearances of the season with 10 strikeouts in seven no-hit innings thus far. The 6-foot-6 right-hander enters the weekend as the national leader in WHIP with an other-worldly mark of 0.14. Privette has not allowed a run in 12 consecutive innings dating back to last season surrendering only one hit and two walks while fanning 14 in that span.
- The Cougars have scored first in each of the first four games of the season outscoring their opponents by a 6-3 margin over the first three innings thus far.
- Charleston's pitching staff has been outstanding through the first four games of the season combining for a 2.83 earned run average while holding opponents to four extra-base hits and a .158 batting average. The Cougars enter the weekend ranked ninth in the nation in hits allowed per nine innings (4.89) and 10th in WHIP (0.86).
SCOUTING THE SAINTS
- The Saints are searching for their first win of the season after dropping all three games of a weekend series at UCF last weekend.
- Brett Young and Nick Melillo are tied for the team-lead with a .333 batting average while Young and Vincent DiNicola have each driven in one run.
- McCully and Noah Rubino have each struck out a team-best five batters while Arlo Marynczak is responsible for three K's in two and two-thirds innings of work.
