CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston concludes its non-conference slate on Tuesday with a 3 p.m. doubleheader against Winthrop at Patriots Point.
The box office opens at 2 p.m. with tickets being $8 for adults and $5 for youth 18 and younger. Dashi-Mexican Style food truck will be on site down the baseball third base line starting at 4:30, and the CofC Bookstore will have a setup next to the concession stand.
There will also be trivia questions asked throughout the games for the opportunity to win prizes.
Charleston and Winthrop previously met on April 13 in Rock Hill. The Cougars won the opener, 7-1, behind a complete game five-hitter by Payton Lemire. The Eagles took the nightcap, 2-1, despite a strong combined pitching performance by McKenna Kelly and Drayton Siegling.
Mia Dittoe had RBI in both games, including a home run in the second contest, and Shealyn Starks hit a two-run homer to spark the game one win.
The Cougars own a narrow 15-14 lead in the all-time series and are 9-5 against the Eagles at home.
Following Tuesday's doubleheader, the Cougars wrap up their home season on Saturday and Sunday against Towson and will celebrate Senior Weekend both days.
