Cougars Host Coastal, South Carolina in Midweek Action

CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston continues its lengthy home stay this week beginning with non-conference games against Coastal Carolina and South Carolina at Patriots Point.

The Cougars have played 16 straight games at home, a stretch that continues with Monday's 3 p.m. game with the Chanticleers and Wednesday's 6 p.m. contest with the Gamecocks. Charleston opens CAA play this weekend at home against Delaware.

Admission to Monday's game is free. Tickets will be required for the South Carolina game at $10 for adults and $5 for youth. Both games will be streamed on FloSoftball.

The Cougars are coming off a split of four games at the Maroon & Gold Challenge. Caroline Conner picked up her first career save in a 3-2 win over Cleveland State on Friday and then tossed a five-hit shutout in a 6-0 victory over Marist the following day.

Coastal Carolina is 17-3 after winning four of five games at the Spring Games tournament in Florida. The Chanticleers average six runs per game and have given up only 51. South Carolina is 19-2 including an 8-0 win over the Cougars on February 15 in Columbia.
