Aggies Take Series From Cougars

MT. PLEASANT, S.C. - The College of Charleston softball team dropped a 4-1 decision to NC A&T on Sunday afternoon.
Brooke Tranum pitched three scoreless innings with three strikeouts and only one earned run in her first career start in the circle.
The Aggies struck first in the fourth inning with a sacrifice fly and capitalized on their lead with three more runs in the sixth behind a bases-loaded walk and a two-RBI double.
Malaka Belser hit her tenth career home run in the bottom of the seventh frame, but the Cougars were unable to continue the late rally.
Charleston is back in action on Wednesday to host Georgia Southern. First pitch is set for 5:00 p.m. at Patriots Point.
