CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston plays its final CAA road series of the season this weekend when the Cougars visit Monmouth in West Long Branch, N.J.
The teams open the series with games at 2 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and conclude on Sunday at noon.
This marks the first time Charleston is playing Monmouth on the road, with all four previous meetings taking place at Patriots Point. The Cougars are 3-1 against the Hawks and took two of three as CAA opponents a year ago.
After losing the first game of that series, the Cougars bounced back for 3-0 and 6-3 victories. Caroline Conner tossed a three-hit shutout with a season-high 11 strikeouts, and Shealyn Starks and Mia Dittoe both had three hits in the rubber game.
Following the trip to New Jersey, Charleston is at Winthrop next Tuesday before closing the season at home with a series against Hofstra on May 2-4.
