CONWAY, S.C. - The College of Charleston softball team dropped a 8-0 decision in five innings to Coastal Carolina on Wednesday evening.
The Chanticleers scored their first run in the opening frame off an RBI single before rallying for six runs in the fourth inning led by a grand slam. Coastal then walked it off in the fifth with an RBI double.
Audri Bates picked up her first hit of the season while Shealyn Starks and Mia Dittoe also tallied hits.
The Cougars will head up to Wilmington this weekend for a series with UNCW. First pitch with the Seahawks is set for Friday at 6:00 p.m.
