Softball Hosts Lowcountry Classic Beginning Friday

CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston hosts its second tournament of the season this weekend when Dartmouth, Ohio and Rhode Island visit Patriots Point for the Lowcountry Classic.

The Cougars take on Dartmouth (3:00) and Rhode Island (5:30) on Friday followed by games against the Rams and Ohio at the same times on Saturday. A second game against the Bobcats on Sunday was canceled due to Ohio's travel schedule.

Tickets for the tournament are $10 on Friday and Saturday and can be purchased online or at the ticket booth at Patriots Point. All four Charleston games will be streamed on FloCollege.

Ohio is 5-4 while averaging more than seven runs a game. Dartmouth has dropped its first five games, and Rhode Island is playing for the first time this season.

The Cougars are 2-3 all-time against the Bobcats, 2-1 against the Big Green and 1-1 against the Rams. The most recent meeting with any of the three teams was a 2-0 loss to Dartmouth at Patriots Point in 2020.
