MT PLEASANT, S.C. – College of Charleston baseball begins Coastal Athletic Association play with three games against Elon at Patriots Point, beginning on Friday, March 21. First pitches are scheduled for 6 p.m., 2 p.m. and 1 p.m.
Sunday's contest is Bark at the Park where fans can bring their furry friend along to cheer on the Cougars! Anyone with a dog must sign a waiver upon entering the ballpark.

FIRST PITCH:
- CofC lost its second straight midweek contest on Wednesday, dropping a 9-3 ballgame to Winthrop at Patriots Point.
- Redshirt freshman Kevin Samonsky started on the mound for Charleston, striking out six batters across 3.2 innings while allowing just two runs (one earned).
- Four different Cougars registered multi-hit performances, including graduate Will Baumhofer, who tallied a pair of hits and two RBI.
- Baumhofer leads the team with nine multi-RBI games and is tied with senior Dariyan Pendergrass with a team-best nine multi-hit contests.
- The Cougars have 44 hits in the last five games with 16 going for extra bases. In the stretch, CofC has 10-plus knocks in four of those contests.
- Redshirt junior Alex Lyon and senior Davis Aiken are first and second in the CAA in appearances, making 11 and 10 outings, respectively. Lyon ranks 11th nationally in games while Aiken is 41st.
SERIES HISTORY:
- Charleston holds a 44-32 lead in the all-time series against Elon and are 20-16 at home. The Cougars have won nine of the last 12 meetings and closed out the 2024 regular season with a series sweep of the Phoenix, outscoring them 35-17 across the three games. In CofC's 8-6 victory in 11 innings, the Cougars clinched the 2024 CAA Regular Season title.

- Charleston heads across town to play The Citadel on Tuesday, March 25. First pitch from Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park is scheduled for 6 p.m. with the game airing live on ESPN+.
