CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston baseball travels across the peninsula to take on The Citadel on Tuesday, March 25 at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. with the game airing live on ESPN+.

FIRST PITCH:
- CofC comes off a series win over Elon in the opening weekend of conference play.
- Junior Payton Frehner hit a walk-off solo home run in the bottom of the eighth Friday night to give Charleston a 12-2 run rule win.
- The Cougars took the rubber match on Sunday with an 11-6 victory, backed by a 3-for-4 day from redshirt junior Ethan Plyler.
- Plyler was named CAA Player of the Week after picking up hits in all five games last week including three 3-hit contests. The infielder batted .524 (11-for-21) with a home run, six doubles, four runs and seven RBI during the week.
- In the series win over Elon, Plyler went 7-for-13 (.538) with five extra base hits, six RBI and a 1.677 OPS.
- Plyler is the fourth different Cougar to win a CAA weekly award this season.
- Redshirt junior Alex Lyon dominated out of the bullpen, tossing 10.1 innings out of the bullpen over the course of three appearances while allowing just one earned run. Lyon threw four innings of relief ball Sunday, helping Charleston capture the series victory.
- Lyon ranks eighth in the country with 13 appearances and 18th with 1.08 walks allowed per nine.
- Charleston tallied 10-plus runs in all three ballgames against Elon and extended its streak of double-digit hits six consecutive games and seven of the last eight.
SERIES HISTORY:
- Charleston is 60-42 against The Citadel in series history. The 102 contests are the most against a single opponent in program history. CofC has won 22 of the last 23 meetings dating back to 2014 and have scored 10-plus runs in 10 of the matchups.

- Charleston closes out the month of March against CAA foe Campbell the 28-30 at Patriots Point. First pitches are slated for 6 p.m., 2 p.m. and 1 p.m.
