Daniel Brooks fanned nine batters as College of Charleston baseball earned its 30th win of the season Saturday evening in an 11-5 victory at North Carolina A&T.

The Cougars improve to 30-19 overall with the win and 12-11 in the CAA while the Aggies fall to 15-33 and 9-14 in league play.

CRITICAL POINTS AGAINST NORTH CAROLINA A&T:
- Charleston scored runs in innings three through seven, backed behind a five-spot in the fifth.
- Up 5-1, graduate Avery Neaves capped off the frame with a two-run double to the right center gap, bringing in senior Dylan Johnson and graduate Will Baumhofer.
- CofC plated its ninth and tenth runs of the contest on wild pitches before redshirt junior Ethan Plyler singled home senior Dariyan Pendergrass, who crossed the dish three times in the win.
- Baumhofer and Plyler both collected three-hit performances.
- CofC stole eight bags and drew eight free passes Saturday.
- Senior Davis Aiken tossed a scoreless ninth to hold onto the victory.

- Charleston improves to 13-5 against North Carolina A&T in the all-time series and 4-1 as the visitors.
- Senior Tyler Sorrentino extended his hitting streak to nine games.
- Brooks and junior Jake Brink have combined to strike out 19 batters across 14.1 frames.
- Charleston has scored double digit runs in three of its last four ballgames.
- CofC's eight walks are seventh instance this season of walking at least eight times in a game.
- Charleston's eight stolen bases are the most in a game since the Cougars swiped nine bags on March 31, 2009, against Charleston Southern.
- Pendergrass scored his team-leading 51st run of the season Saturday.
- CofC improves to 11-1 this season and 90-5 overall under head coach Chad Holbrook when scoring 10-plus runs.
