CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston volleyball welcomes The Citadel to TD Arena for a match on Monday, Sept. 8. Opening serve is set for 6 p.m. with the game airing live on FloCollege.
 
OPENING SERVE:

• Charleston returns home after going 1-2 at the Blue Ridge Volleyball Classic in Asheville, N.C.
• Freshman Jumana Martin recorded 71 digs across the weekend slate, including 30 in the setback versus Bradley.
• Fellow first year Caroline Noonan had 14 blocks to go along with 39 kills and a .318 attacking percentage.
• Noonan has double-digit kills in each of the last five matches.
• CofC earned its 20th consecutive win over Western Carolina in the straight set match Sept. 5.
• Graduate student Izzy Marinelli hit .290 with 12 kills in Saturday's match against Charlotte. Marinelli is second on the team with 59 kills.

 
SCOUTING THE CITADEL:

• The Citadel has begun the 2025 campaign 0-4, most recently losing a midweek match at Georgia Southern.
• Savannah Freeman and Sammie Sabra have combined for 52 of the team's 107 kills.
• Luci Lippelgoos leads the blockers with six solo blocks and 15 total blocks.

 
SERIES HISTORY:

• Charleston holds a 32-2 record against The Citadel and are a perfect 29-0 in three sets. The Cougars last faced the Bulldogs Aug. 29, 2023, a four-set loss on the road.

 
UP NEXT:

• Charleston hosts the Steve Baumrind Invitational Sept. 12-14 to wrap up tournament play. The Cougars face Youngstown State, Quinnipiac and Stetson.
