BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Cougars fell 10-2 in five innings in the first of a three-game series at Campbell Friday, March 13.
The Cougars are now 12-16 overall on the season with a 3-1 conference record.

- Down 6-0 in the top of the third, Leela Langston doubled for one RBI and Austy Miller scored from first to put Charleston on the board. Immediately following Halle Cannon doubled and Langston scored from third.
- In the bottom of the fourth, Mackenzie Mathis struck out one Camel and allowed no runs.
- Cannon singled in the top of the fifth, but the Cougars could not connect. Campbell would score three more in the bottom of the inning, leaving the final score 10-2.
- Charleston had five hits and Cannon lead the Cougars with two.
- Karlee Hughes and Audri Bates each had hits on the evening.
- Mackenzie Mathis had two strikeouts for a season total of 57.
- Charleston remains in Buies Creek for two more games against Campbell. The Cougars will face the Camels Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at 12 p.m.
