
Softball Travles to Campbell for Conference Series

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Charleston softball travels to Campbell for their first CAA road series Friday, March 13 through Sunday, March 15.
The first game of the series is set to begin at 5 p.m. on the 13th. Saturday's game is at 2 p.m. and Sunday's is set for 12 p.m.
Charleston is 12-15 after going 1-2 in mid-week contests against App State and USC Upstate. The Cougars defeated USC Upstate 4-3 in the second game of the doubleheader Wednesday, March 11.
The Cougars are 3-0 in CAA play after hosting Monmouth for a three-game series March 6-8.
Against the Spartans, Kendall Thackston and Mackenzie Mathis each had at least five strikeouts. Mathis ranks third in the CAA in strikeouts with 55 total.
Julia Sitterding and Austy Miller each had a hit in both games of the doubleheader.
Leading the Cougars is freshman Bronwyn Conroy with a .402 batting average and 35 hits on the season. She has totaled 24 runs in her 27 games played with three doubles and two triples. She leads the conference and is second in Division I in stolen bases with 21 total.
Campbell is 15-9 overall and 3-0 in CAA play.
Against the Camels, Charleston is 15-27 and 4-11 on the road. In 2025, Charleston swept Campbell in a home series April 25-27.
