
Softball Travels to Wofford and Clemson for Mid-Week Contests

CHARLESTON, S.C – Charleston softball travels to the upstate for two mid-week games against Wofford and Clemson Tuesday, March 3 and Wednesday, March 4.
The Cougars will play the Terriers at 6 p.m. on the third in Spartanburg, S.C. before traveling to Clemson, S.C. to play the Tigers at 6 p.m. the following day.
Charleston is 8-11 on the 2026 season following a 1-2 home weekend against Georgia State.
The Cougars secured the 11-10 victory Saturday, February 28.
Bronwyn Conroy went 3-for-3 scoring three runs with 3 RBI in the victory. The freshman hit her first triple of the season and added one stolen base to her team leading 17. Conroy has a .431 batting average going into Tuesday's game with 28 hits.
Mackenzie Mathis is second in the CAA with 43 strikeouts this season in 51.1 innings. Over the weekend, Mathis pitched 6 innings allowing just one run from the Panthers and striking out six.
In the circle, freshman Erin McDaid had her first career strikeout in the win against Georgia State and pitched two innings.
Charleston has faced Wofford once before in program history, losing 6-1 at home in 2024. Charleston has never played Clemson, and Wednesday's game will mark the first meeting between the two teams.
The Cougars are looking to pick up their first win on the road before returning home to begin conference play Friday, March 7 against Monmouth.
